Tahoe Maritime Foundation provides support to maritime activities, history & education.

Since transitioning from a museum to a foundation in 2021, our organization has remained dedicated to preserving maritime history and advancing education and activities.

 

We are grateful for the continued support that has made this work possible. Following the completion of our fifth grant cycle, we are proud to share several important milestones made possible by the generosity of our donors and the Foundation’s careful stewardship:

              - More than $1,000,000 in grants awarded to date
              - More than $1,440,000 in growth in our endowment, which now exceeds $5,580,000
              - Grantmaking support reaching organizations in 6 states while continuing to prioritize the Lake Tahoe                        Basin, Northern California, and western Nevada.

These accomplishments strengthen the Foundation’s ability to maximize the long-term impact of every dollar invested in maritime preservation, youth engagement, and community heritage.

Surpassing $1 million in grants awarded in our first 5 years is an important milestone, but our work continues. Thank you for helping preserve and share maritime heritage for generations to come.
